Heads up!
Rusco only likes doing business by phone or verbally.
They can't read!
If you send Rusco anything more than a short paragraph, it's more than their brain can cope with.
Do everything in writing anyway and make sure you double check their outdated contract and release forms before you sign anything, because that's what they are going to go by, regardless what they say verbally.
- Also the quote that you get from the salesman in writing, is not the price that you're going to pay in the end.
One time we even asked if the price for our windows was right and the salesman said " yes, he was sharing his commision with us".
At least twice we ended up paying more than our bill stated. One time we wrote them a check for a window that we broke; and they wanted to get paid for the same window again.
Rusco is unbelievable! I don't know if it was the size of our order or Rusco is just incompotent.
Warranty:
No warranty on installation - when the installer leaves your house - he is done.
The salesman will say "he will get things fixed".
However, you will get - "I don't have anyone available to fix your problem, we are too busy or I was on vacation" and then the year is over and Rusco walks away from it.
Rusco six door installation is an
embarrassement for Rusco and a frustrating mess to us!
After we started having problems with Rusco we found that
Rusco has 2 complaints at the Better Business Burreau for
"Product and Service". I wish we had known that before we bought. We searched for "Rusco doors and windows" and never found them. Instead what we should of searched for was
"Rusco Manufacturing" in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada.
When you do go to Better Business Burreau, Rusco has been there before and knows exactly what to say.
They will say "they will fix it".
However, what Rusco doesn't tell the Better Business Burreau is that
before Rusco will do anything for anybody, they want $100 check and only when the check clears, then they will decide at their convenience if they were going to fix anything or not. We have been
complaining about our install since day one.
So, why wait until the customer goes to BBB then?
By the time anyone gets to that point, they have already decided that they don't want anything to do with Rusco and they only intend to help other people from making the same mistake.
That's my storey and I hope that my experience helps someone make a better decision than we did before buying.
To me; customer service is more important than the product itself.
The
product - you can check that before you buy it and expect it to be as good or a little worse.
The
service? - You never know until you need it.
Rusco must of had a good product and service at one time, but that's long gone now!
We spent around $35,000 at Rusco - for windows and doors.
So, the amount you spend at Rusco, makes no difference how you are treated.
