Macaroni and Beef Casserole

Ingredients:
- 1 package macaroni & cheese dinner -follow directions on package
- 16 oz 1 can of stewed tomatoes
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz 1 can of spaghetti sauce
- 1 ea medium onion
- finely chopped about a halfcup
- 10 oz package of frozen peas unthawed
- 1 ea small green pepper
- finely chopped about halfcup
- 1 tsp dill weed
- 1 ea large clove garlic
- finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dash of pepper
Instructions:
prepare macaroni and cheese dinner following the instructions on package.
brown ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in 2 tablespoons
butter.
Season with salt and pepper. Stir in stewed tomatoes and tomato
sauce. Remove from heat.
place macaroni & cheese in bottom of 3 quart casserole, top with frozen peas
sprinkle with dill and cover the meat mixture.
cover and bake in 375 degrees F. oven for 20 minutes, uncover and
continue to bake for about 25 minutes...Makes 6-8 servings.
I usually make one for supper and one for the freezer. :)
