Ingredients:
- 1 rack of baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
Instructions:
Prep Ribs: Remove the silver skin from the ribs by sliding a knife under the membrane on the back of the rack and pulling it off.
Make Rub: In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, mustard, smoked paprika, and cayenne (if using).
Apply Rub: Rub the seasoning mixture all over the ribs, pressing it into the meat. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
Cook Ribs: Preheat your grill to low heat (about 250°F). Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, turning occasionally.
Glaze with BBQ Sauce: About 30 minutes before finishing, brush your BBQ sauce over the ribs. Let it caramelize during the last bit of grilling.
Serve: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
