----- For Meal-Master v7.0+ - generated by HnG Recipes DB v1.2 at Homes-n-Gardens Title: Salsa -Hot Categories: Salsas Yield: 1 Lots of Salsa 9 c diced tomatoes I prefer roma 6 ea diced and chopped jalapenos with or with out seeds I usually use seeds from 1 pepper 6 ea chili peppers chopped and diced 6 ea habeneros chopped and diced 6 ea scotch bonnet chopped and diced 1 ea head of garlic chopped 1 ea 398ml can tomato sauce 2 ea juice of squeezed limes 1 c cilantro leaves chopped 2 tb enough oil to saute onions 3 tb white vinegar 1 1/2 ts cumin 2 c white onion chopped 2 c celery-chopped 2 ts salt to taste 1) Add peppers and garlic to blender. 2) Blend gently. 3) Use a big soup stock pot. 4) Saute onions, celery, peppers and cilantro in oil. 5) Then add peppers and garlic from the blender. 6) Tomatoes including the tomato juice. 7) Cook on high until it boils, then reduce to medium heat and cook for another 15 minutes. 8) Then add lime juice, vinegar, tomato sauce, cumin and all other spices. 9) This is when you mix it all up grab your bag of tortilla chips and salt to taste. 10) If this recipe is too hot for you just add one to two cans of libby_s diced tomatoes with garlic. 11) Thank you Trisha for the original recipe. 12) This is my version and Todd said "it's still not hot enough." :) 13) http://homes-n-gardens.com/recipes-from-the-kitchen-garden/recipepics/318.jpg -----
