Leaks
- None found during this testing, light spray from hose inside the perimiter of the door frame was successfully repelled & shed to exterior by Sill
- This door set is protected by a covered porch, rain does not seem to cause leaks
- However, this door was leaking during the winter, probably the result of snow melt
- Because it has no caulking under the Door frame sill, I believe it will leak again during the winter when there is melting snow close to it
Defective components
- None found at this time
Other issues
- minor gaps in the caulking on the exterior surface edge joints
Requirements
- Remove & re-install Door frame
- Inspect & verify adequacy of moisture barrier, correct as necessary to create continuous barrier with door frame
- Add caulking material between rough opening sill and door frame sill adequate to prevent leaks under sill
